In September 2004 I reluctantly went to my first belly dance class, and received a very warm welcome by the local belly dance community. I have now performed publicly dozens of times, and I am really enjoying it! You can read and see all the details in my dance blog and pictures. Also, have a look at my performance video or the TV commercial I did in 2006, and read answers to frequently asked questions.
Because belly dance is an uncommon activity for males in the US, I created this website to describe my adventures in the world of sequins and zills. I hope my story is useful to aspiring dancers and makes people more comfortable with male dancing. Please remember that much on this site is my personal opinion.
Recently, I have taken up belly dance photography with a vengeange, I invite you to take a look at those beautiful costumes and poses! I like to hear from you, please and link to me from your own website. I'd be happy to perform at your event, please contact me for details!
Most importantly, enjoy dancing, be it as a performer or in the audience!
... and when you get the choice to sit it out or dance: I hope you dance, I hope you dance!
